At the last conference call, it was agreed that we probably needed to
get together for one more call prior to the printing summit. The bridge
for this call is:
Date/time: Thursday, March 30 at 9AM (pacific)
Toll free: 1-800-211-0633
Toll: 1-719-867-0485
Participant code: 942698
Agenda
======
- Finalize the printing summit agenda
- Checkpoint for preparation material. Prep material will need to
go to the printer on 3/31.
- Facilitators and moderators for the summit
While Till is the leader for the Printing Summit, we discussed the need
for an Event Facilitator (agenda policeman) and session moderators. I
have volunteered to be the event facilitator and we will be looking to
identify topic moderators by the call next Thursday. I would suggest
that we have a moderators for each of the main agenda sections:
Section 1: Vision for open source printing (Tim Waugh?)
Section 2: It should just work - consistent methods, desktop service
(Ira McDonald?)
Section 3: Usability (Kurt Pfeifle?)
Section 4: Brainstorming and priority setting (Till Kamppeter?)
Section 5: Hardware support (George or Uli?)
Section 6: OpenPrinting.org and CUPS (Mike Sweet?)
Section 7: Transition of job transfer format to PDF (Till Kamppeter?)
Section 8: Printer testing, issues, certification (Waldo Bastian?)
I listed _possible_ topic moderators for each of these sections. We can
discuss who would be best to moderate these sections at the planning
call next Thursday.
Cheers,
John
