Hi Till,

Per your request yesterday, here is a list of problems with the
OSDL Printing Summit web page, agenda, and template:

(1) No mention of OSDL Printing Summit on OSDL home page
    at "http://www.osdl.org/"

(2) No mention of OSDL Printing Summit on OSDL Desktop Linux page
    at "http://www.osdl.org/lab_activities/desktop_linux"

(3) OSDL Printing Summit is hidden (oddly) under OSDL Desktop Architects
button (instead of under Desktop Linux)

(4) Agenda for OSDL Printing Summit is hidden (inscrutably) under the
"Click here for your invitation to the Printing Summit" button

(5) Agenda for OSDL Printing Summit is an unreasonably large (400KB)
PDF file of a pure graphic "Prepared on Inkscape", which takes
    _far_ too long to download

(6) Agenda for OSDL Printing Summit does NOT have hidden text for
cut-and-paste from Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, so the web links
are useless (for people and search engines)

(7) OSDL Printing Summit registration link is NOT on web page
(so are invisible to search engines)

(8) Agenda for OSDL Printing Summit incorrectly implies that users
should directly register with Marriott Atlanta GP (but Lanier
is making all the reservations - which is a real problem for
people whose corporate travel agreements don't allow the use
of Marriott facilities - there are many such)

(9) Template to be filled out by all participants has serious problems:
    (a) page 1/question 1 asks for organizational breakdown of company
(even if I were a Sharp employee, I couldn't answer this)
    (b) page 1/question 3 asks for market segment plans of company
        (usually not publicly released)
    (c) page 2/question 3 asks for specific future development plans
        (_never_ publicly released)
    (d) page 2/question 1 asks about "organizational" and "business"
        challenges in company
        (_never) publicly release)

PLEASE stop building the agenda as a useless graphic with Inkscape
and create it with a decent word processor and make sure that the
links can be cut-and-pasted from the PDF version.

Cheers,
- Ira
