Hi,

In response to the comment that a move from PostScript to PDF would
require choosing a standard job ticket format, I'd like to point out
that the full semantics of IPP/1.1 (RFC 2911) and _all_ extensions
are defined in the PwgPrintJobTicket element in the XML schema set
adopted with the IEEE/ISTO PWG Semantic Model/1.0:

  ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/cs-sm10-20040120-5105.1.pdf

See also:

Along with CIP4's JDF (which is VERY large), the PWG Job Ticket is
one of two open standard job ticket formats supported by the FSG's
Open Printing Job Ticket API (JTAPI) approved in July 2005:

  ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/fsg/jobticket/JTAPI_Spec/

in the file:

Cheers,
- Ira (for FSG Open Printing International Steering Committee)
