Hi,
tomorrow from noon CEST (Central European Summer Time) on, there will be
three OpenPrinting sessions on the Ubuntu Developer Summit in Prague,
with possibility to call in. You all are invited to participate.
The sessions are:
Common Printing Dialog
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/applications-printing
PDF as the Standard Print Job Format
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/pdf-as-standard-print-job-format
Automatic download and installation of printer drivers
https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/printerdriverautodownload
The exact hours will be announced later, but they will also be available at
http://people.ubuntu.com/~scott/uds-intrepid/
http://people.ubuntu.com/~scott/uds-intrepid/2008-05-20/index.html
Everyone who is here at the UDS in Prague, the sessions will most
probably take place in the QA track, room Severn.
Everyone else please access by calling in via SIP or by connecting via
Icecast and IRC.
Note that we will not use a public SIP network but a private one. To get
an account, install a SIP client at first. If the client asks you to
create an account on a public network, you can skip the account setup.
Check your sound setup.
Then open IRC and go to the channel #canonical-sysadmin on Freenode and
ask there for getting an account to call into the UDS sessions via SIP.
Follow the instructions of the administrators. Mail to rt at ubuntu.com if
no admin answers your request.
Please do the account setup ASAP, to have an account in time so that you
can call in tomorrow.
Once you have the account, call in via sip:3406 at canonical.com through
your account. This address is not reachable through a public network.
Another possibility to participate is to click the Icecast link on
http://people.ubuntu.com/~scott/uds-intrepid/2008-05-20/index.html
in the head line of the room and you will be able to listen:
http://icecast.ubuntu.com:8000/severn.ogg.m3u
To talk, enter IRC and go to the #uds-qa channel on Freenode.
Hope I will, see, hear, or read you all tomorrow.
