That's nonsense. It is exactly the goal. The technology is very much
available for this. The problem is that not enough people with
knowledge of the kernel has contributed their knowledge.
Enablement for dtrace also required the kernel developers to contribute.
They had to decide where the probe point are and which values are
needed. If we could get that level of collaboration we could quickly
get to the point where the kernel side of the probing is at least as
well supported as dtrace support for Solaris.
