Userlevel support is coming soon.  As for kernel support: it's supposed
to work.  I cannot say it better than James: kernel people should start
using it and report the problems.  It's the only way to get the last
kinks out of it.  Also, to make it easier, we need tapsets from the
kernel subsystem maintainer.  You don't want anyone else to write them,
they'll just be wrong or unusable.  We already have the beginning (see
/usr/share/systemtap/tapset/*) but that's not enough.  I think once you
get started you'll learn to like systemtap a lot.
