I have thought about putting this on the agenda for the End User
Summit (and asking Greg to help lead). I have talked to end users who
are willing to discuss why a change in model doesn't work for them.
I'm sure others have other opinions. As Greg mentions a lot hinges on
the ISVs who will not be at the Summit. Leaders from the distros will
be, but not ISVs.

Those ISVs will, most likely, be at the next Linux Foundation
CollabSummit in April in San Francisco. I know it's a long way off but
certainly leaders from the organizations/groups required to have a
substantial discussion will be at that venue.
