aloha, all!
i have set up a wiki page to collect feedback and prose for the
underpopulated and unpopulated sections of the draft ATK/AT-SPI
"Recommendations for Application Developers" documents:
http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/Accessibility/ATK/AT-SPI/Specs/Draft
the 2 main documents under consideration are:
* http://accessibility.linux-foundation.org/a11yspecs/atspi/adoc/ADOC_ATSPI_draft.htm
* http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/Accessible/ATK/AT-SPI/Specs/Draft/ADOC_ATSPI
and:
* http://accessibility.linux-foundation.org/a11yspecs/atspi/adoc/ADOC_ATK_draft.htm
* http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/Accessible/ATK/AT-SPI/Specs/Draft/ADOC_ATK
note that the drafts marked with an underscore d r a f t dot h t m l are
the versions whose markup i have tweaked in order to make the document
(a) more accessible and (b) validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict
please work off of the draft versions of these documents, as they are more
useable and also use maroon on white text to signify text that is needed,
and which appears in the draft as either open questions or thought
exercises as to what should populate a particular section of the drafts...
please note that i am only modifying the markup -- i do not claim
"ownership" of either document, but as the WG's webmaster, it is my duty
to ensure that the documents we produce -- no matter how rudimentary --
are as accessible and up-to-date as possible...
that means that the ADocs are still in search of an owner, which is why i
set up a wiki page where Open A11y members can collaboratively propose
and hone text to be included into the document -- the wiki pages for each
can be found at:
http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/Accessibility/ATK/AT-SPI/Specs/Draft/ADOC_ATSPI
and
http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/Accessibility/ATK/AT-SPI/Specs/Draft/ADOC_ATK
i would VERY much appreciate the type of review pete originally asked for
in the post that started this thread:
<q cite="https://lists.linux-foundation.org/pipermail/accessibility/2008-January/002238.html">
someone who has been implementing ATK and the Collection interface should
review these documents and update them. Would this be Ariel Rios or Li
Yuan from Sun (who I think owns AT-SPI) or someone else?
</q>
thank you for assisting in ensuring that the documentation housed in Open
A11y web space is as up-to-date as possible,
gregory.
